CoffeeShop Photography

August 11, 2008

CoffeeShop Photography provides free tutorials and actions for Photoshop and Elements.   The actions for Photoshop work in version 7 and above and the actions for Elements have only been tested in PSE 6.0

The tutorials are related to the actions, not how to run them, but how to create the same effects without the action.   Looking at those tutorials makes you appreciate just how useful actions can be!

Here is an example of just one of the many free actions sets Rita has made available on her blog:

The Pioneer Woman

May 21, 2008

I have been reading the Pioneer Woman’s blog for sometime now and have watched it grow and expand. Ree is an entertaining story teller, and besides the tales of ranch life and great recipes she now has a photography section.

In the photography section she shares tutorials and tips for both photography and for Photoshop. In addition to the free tutorials, she also has a few Photoshop actions that she is giving away. And if that isn’t enough to entice you to check out her blog she also occasionally gives away some really great stuff – like a $500 shopping spree at Kelby Training.

Shabby Princess/Shabby Shoppe

March 16, 2008

At Shabby Princess they have been sharing FREE digital scrapbooking kits for over three years! They do it because they feel it is “a WONDERFUL opportunity to let everyone give digital scrapbooking a try before investing too much money!” These are full-size kits full of beautiful papers and great embellishments.

The Shabby Shoppe!, which is the twin of Shabby Princess, is a digital scrapbooking site featuring high quality, downloadable products for both digi and paper scrappers! Lots of great quick album sets (piece-of-cake) that would make putting together an album a snap. Between that and Vivoio you could have a printed album in your hands (or sent as a gift) in no time flat! They also have some very unique embellishments in the store as well.

The site also offers a number of digital scrapping tutorials for both Photoshop and Elements users. Many of the tutorials are available as screen casts. In addition to the tutorials, the sisters sites also share a blog and a newsletter.
